I’m always happy to eat food, and when you mix social media AND food, I am really, REALLY happy.

Yesterday I went on a date with Tiny g (also known as Winnie, also known as a whole bunch of other names I’m not about to type). Our mission was to go to the John’s Creek Whole Foods here in the Atlanta area so that she could get some apple cider vinegar. Yeah, it was as simple as that. What ended up happening yesterday was way more exciting (and entertaining for me)…

I’d rather my favorite hoodie rest in peace versus resting in pieces. I’ve owned my SCAD-Atlanta hoodie for five years and I think it’s time to let it go. It’s been my security blanket for so long that wearing became a habit. Oh, I used to tell myself that I was only wearing it to keep warm, but I think subconsciously I was wearing it to remain invisible to the world. I have a feeling that my former coworkers thought that I didn’t own shirts because all they ever saw was me in this zipped up hoodie.

I’m not sure I am ready to be visible to the world, but I’m going to give my overworked hoodie a much needed vacation. I’ll keep it in my closet, but I’m not going to wear it anymore. And with this decision comes the realization that I’ll have to go shopping for a nice sweater to keep at my desk. ugh

This is my newest favorite game on my iPhone. While some people are just starting to get into Words with Friends or Hanging with Friends, I’ve moved on to War of Words. It’s much more exciting that just putting down tiles to make words. I love that the game allows you to steal your competition’s points, blow up their words, and place land mines to destroy those 300 point words they may try to play. I also like that there are a variety of boards to play. There’s one board that requires all words to be played backwards!

You can get War of Words for iPhone or iPad on iTunes. There is a free version and of course, a paid version.

I’ve been so very busy these last eight weeks. I got a new job, sold all of my belongings, and moved 750 miles. I’m starting to settle in and I’ve started the process of decorating my apartment.

I chose my apartment with the goal of not moving after 12 months. Y’all know this will be a major step for me because I generally date my apartments. Anyway, here are a few things I’ve purchased (including the crock pot, which I used to COOK something) and towards the bottom, there’s some food I want to purchase. I really think I need some red velvet pancakes and chocolate wine in my life. Can’t you picture me in the kitchen making beignets? Yeah, me neither. I’ll be back to let you know how that works out.

After living in Philadelphia for two years, I have been offered a job in Atlanta, GA and so I’m selling some of my stuff. Check out and see if there’s anything you might want. If you don’t see anything you might want, please forward the site on to anyone you think might be interested in buying my stuff. My goal is to sell everything locally, so that means I’m not willing to ship or deliver the large pieces. This would defeat the purpose of the sale. What will I do if I can’t sell everything? I’ll donate it to the Salvation Army or Goodwill like I always do. I have books and magazines and maybe a few pieces of clothes I plan to donate as well.

As my adventures in Philly and NYC wind down, I look forward to posting my new adventures in Atlanta. (I love that I am moving away from Philly, but used a NYC picture as the featured image on the homepage. I am awesome.):-)

I took a few minutes of my time today to Occupy Philadelphia. If you haven’t heard about the protests occurring across the US, I urge you to look it up.
